Russell is one of the better team in kansas... They didnt' have a really healthy team all year... Casey Driscoll & Jesse Dinkel had hurt shoulders, and tyler sander has a bad back. I think in the next few years that russell will become as good as the Trego team that coach frohling built in the ten years he was there. If you have a different oppinion then just post a reply and tell me...

Yeah I have a different opinion. Ok Russell had Driscoll, Dinkel, and Sander. When the three of them where wrestling they where alright. But that is all that they had. It takes more then just three kids to be good.

Maybe you should set your sights just a little higher than his achievements at Trego. Trego had several good individuals and even a few outstanding wrestlers for Coach Frohling. But short of a 3rd place team finish in 1998 - when they finished 28.5 points out of 1st - did they ever make a serious run at a state title during his tenure? I think they were supposed to on a couple of occassions, but to my knowledge they didn't get it done.

Rusell had a very young team, and losing one senior before the season at 215 certainly hurt them as well as the other three seniors being hurt also,I think Frohling will do a good job, time will tell how he can push the young kids coming up,I also think it matters how many young kids came through kids wrestling, last year when Russell went udeafted in their league they had several seniors and juniors that came through kids wrestling,if they can get those kinds of numbers back with a great coach like Frohling they should be good once again.

I was concerned this year to see Beloits numbers and Bellvile's numbers down also, hopefully they can build their program's back up with more kids also, haven't followed kids wrestling as much so it will be interesting to see what kind of kid wrestler's come in to these programs, ellsworth will reamin strong,as usual.

You can do well with small #s, take a look at Chapman who only took 4 guys to the State Tournament and finished pretty high considering the competition they faced and number they took. Russell will do fine, I remember we wrestled Regionals there my freshman year and I know that there is a lot of promise for that school as well as a few others in the near future.

I recently had occasion to take a personal interest in the Bellville wrestling (and football program) I read with interest the part about Bellevilles numbers being down? Does anyone have an opinion as to why and also is this true in football also or just wrestling? Thanks!
