I don't know if i was ever at a state tourney where there were so many close matches with guys getting two points or not getting two points at the buzzer and deciding the match. The winners going on and the losers going back. I think in an awful lot of brackets you could shake them up put them back on the brackets next week and have completely different results. I know an awful lot of seniors worked for 10 or 12 years for the Gold. Some got it and some didn't. When you watch kids from lots of schools work so hard and come up short you have to feel for them. To the champions Congrats. To the others thanks for all the hard work. Thanks for the entertainment. You are all winners and deserve the rewards of your work. Let it help you throughout your lifetime. Thanks!!!

I agree with your observation and your conclusion 100%. It was a very entertaining and exciting tournament.

There were alot of close matches were there was only a point difference, alot of overtimes also.It is hard to see the kids that worked so hard fall short.

Did anyone witness Jamal Davis first match when he went into overtime and lost,he quit after that match and didn't wrestle the rest of the weekend.Too bad nobody could ever get this kids head on straight he was a good wrestler.

I don;t want to talk smack on Jamaal but i was watching the match and thought he just quit when the match got tied. I was talking to the guy next to me and told him, he looks like he just quit and he had no effort after that.

We all thought the same thing...he did look like he just quit,I know he was very disapointed at regionals when he lost in the championship match to a controversial call.He told someone after this state loss he was done, and I guess he meant it.He was a good wrestler, just needed to be taught that it was okay if you lost, maybe upset that you did but it's okay.

He did have alot of potential,I've watched him since he was a little guy in kids wrestling,he actually seemed a little better this year with his attitude, until that regional thing.I always enjoyed watching him wrestle
