It's a sad moment for Emporia wrestlers, our head coach, Curtis Simons is resigning from Emporia High School to take the job of principal at Hartford. Simons has been my favorite coach and a great mentor to me for over six years now.
I broke my toe at state... but I still got a better medal than Lancerm.

That is tough. Curtis is a great coach, but I am sure the Emporia tradition will endure.

I enjoyed watching curtis when he was just a pup out in Western Kansas. Good to see him move up but bad to see his attitude exit the wrestling community. hopefully his replacement will have the same strong character as Curtis.
