Once again I see the state in it's infinite wisdom has put at least 6 of the top 10 teams in the same regional (Norton). In no particular order, Norton, Hoxie, St. Francis, Oberlin, Plainville and S. Center. These towns will have kids knocking each other out of the state tourny. and still end up on top.

Location or toughness of the regional doesn't bother me as much as the facilities. There are schools (won't mention any names),based on the size of their gyms, that shouldn't be allowed to host a regional. When the parents of the athletes in these substandard schools get tired of traveling they will put some money into new facilities.

I would say Abilene as well. Nothing against the other regionals, but with Abilene having all of the schools in the western part of the state in attendence, while the other three regionals are a split of the teams in the east, there's bound to be an abundance of talent at that regional.

man, the 119 lb weight class for the 5a kapaun regional looks tough again for atleast the 3rd consecutive year it looks like atleast 1 or 2 very good wrestlers will miss out on going to state again because this weight is loaded (last year it was 112, they year before 103, and now 119), as if they were in another regional would have qualified without a problem.

carroll-karl brown
winfield-garret harding (i think he's at 19)
west-tristen deshazer
campus-tim elliot
ark city-conner crumbliss

Finally, I don't have to drive to the far ends of the planet to watch our regional. I can just take the short 25 min trip to abilene and be home by dinner (which i hate to miss).
