Derby Invitational is pretty hard traditionally. Garden City Invitational is always a hard tournament.

i agree with cody bell, the Basehor-Linwood "bobcat classic" has to be one of the toughest tournaments, if not the toughest.

I would vote for NWKS League. Atwood, Colby, Goodland, Oberlin, Oakley, Hoxie, Quinter, St Francis

Based upon some results I have read, the Bobcat classic could have these wrestlers all at 171: Ryan Kromer(Garden), Kurtis Baylor(Columbus), Kyle Flory(Baldwin), Kyle Franks(Lawrence Free State), Mike Steinmetz(Turner), Blake Malloy(Shawnee Heights), Nathen Payne(Paola). Am I forgetting someone?

OK i will have to give it to ya. the bobcat classic is a tought tournament. But the Newton tourney is the hartest there is. I has Hutchinson and manhattan(1 and 2 in 6Alast year at state) Bishop-carroll and ark city( the 1st in 5A last year)Clay Center and Norton( 1st in 4A and a placer in the top 5) And there is a rumor going around that Hoxie is going to be there(the 3-2-1 A champs last year.) There are also a lot more good teams that go to that tourney. Its the best

They both are very tough tournaments, but i think that bobcat classic will be taking the place of newton this year!

just because it has a lot of teams dosn't make it a hard tournament, it is the quality of the teams that couts and newton has both

Again the bobcat classic is a very good tourney. CLay Center might go there next year. But there are no returning state champ team there. Newton has all 4. And there is 26 teams there. Sorry man but this year its Newton.

kswrestler101 I see that you mentioned that Clay Center[state champs] and Norton[top 5] in 4A will be in Newton. But you did not mention Goodland[2nd place] will also be at the Newton tourn. this year. Should be a great tourn.

I would have to say that the beloit tournament has been one of the toughest in the past. With Clay Center, Hoxie, Colby, Concordia, Manhattan, and many other good schools. Not for sure who all else is there but, this would be my vote for toughest tournament.

I believe that the Newton tourn. is the toughest tournament in the state right now. When you look at the quality of teams there, how can you say otherwise.

Sorry Dbedore Goodland is a strong team this year too. That just adds to it. Beloit is also very good, but still not as tough as the newton tounrey. Last year Clay Center Won the Beloit tourney pretty soundly, but we got 6th at Newton.
