Harding only had 1 loss, his last. He had the longest winning streak in the state until Maynes broke his win streak record his senior year.

Wes Harding suffered three losses in his career. They all occurred his senior season. He was indeed undefeated his first three years of wrestling. His first defeat was to Dave Canfield of Concordia in an early-season dual. His next defeat was at the Beloit Inv. where he lost to Brewster of KMC. Harding took third behind Canfield (1st) and Brewster (2nd). All three had been state champs the year before, talk about a tough weight class. His final loss was his last match, the state finals his senior year. As for the longest win streak, that was held by Chris Ngo of Concordia of 91 matches until Bo Maynes broke it.

Lyle Geyer was one of the most dominating wrestlers I ever saw in high school wrestling. Don't thin he faired so well in college at Northern Colorado (might have burned-out) but he took it to people. Co-Outstanding Wrestler at the 1992 Senior Nationals w/ Cary Kolat of Penn State fame. Anybody remember who it was that beat Geyer?

BTW, I went to Nationals w/ a kid with the last name of Hayes (Chad Hayes, maybe?) who only had 1 or 2 losses in high school. Info?

I'm pretty sure Lyle Geyer was an All-American for Southern Colorado.

Cool, always got along with him at tourneys in high school. I lost track of him in college, but had heard he was wrestling for one of the Colorado schools, then heard no more.

Everyone seems to ignore me, but Earl Jones won 114 matches in a row.

If my memory serves me right, Chris Bollin from Immac finished his hs carrer with only one loss. It was the semis match his freshman year and yes I am old enough to remember that match.

technically, i was undefeated in high school. I was in Ark City and wrestled JV behind beeson and hernandez. when they graduated I moved out of state and then went undefeated and won a state title and earned All America. It's a shame to me that more wrestlers from Kansas don't perform as well at the college level. Well, not all I mean Ware, Hernandez or most of the AC wrestlers.

By the way is that coach Billy Ross from Ark City?

Ware and Terry (Temore) were the weight above me in Kids state one year when I broke my collar bone in the championship semis and couldn't finish the tourney. They were both my age if I remember correctly and I didn't see either at Senior Nationals. I know Temore was wrestling Greco nationals, any info on what Ware was up to?

P.S. JV doesn't count. Not saying you weren't good, but it just doesn't count.

Yes
I know it doesnt count which is why i wish I could have made the sarcasm go a little bit. Justing graduated in '92 I think Temore was in '93 is that right? Justin won senior nationals and then went to Nebraska where he almost beat Alan Fried as a redshirt freshman. He lost his opening two matches at nationals and was ranked #6 in the nation with only a couple losses at the time. Justin was at NEbraska just those two years and then left in '94. I don't the details of why, we kind of drifted apart.

By the way, I was just using the fact I was on JV at ARk City, but still an undefeated state champ and all american just to show how competitive the wrestling room was in ark city.

No He had 2 older sisters-- Debbie and Julie and one younger sister Valerie.

You may be thinking of Devin BAhm that had a brother Dustin.
