The top five teams and eight of the top ten were from the Norton Regional.

The percentage of State medals won by wrestlers from the Norton Regional is as follows:

First/Second = 18 of 28 65%
Third/Fourth = 15 of 28 53%
Fifth/Sixth = 11 of 28 39%

To determine the relative strength of each of the four 321A regionals, the following system was used: a regionals' first place medalist was awarded six points, second received five and so on through sixth which was one point.

Norton Regional: 168 points
1st =10; 2nd =8; 3rd =5; 4th = 10; 5th=7;6th=4

Hoistington Regional: 49 pts
1st=0; 2nd=4; 3rd=4; rth=1; 5th=3; 6th=1

Easton Regional: 49
1st=1; 2nd=2; 3rd=4; 4th=2; 5th=4; 6th=3

Hesston Regional: 28

Each regional sent 56 to state, correct?

The Pleasant Ridge Regional medaled 16, as did the Hoisington Regional. Hesston Regional medaled 8.

Only 12 kids from the Norton regional DID NOT medal!

This is not intended to be a slight to the other regionals - just an observation of how incredible the folks from the Norton regional did.

Found another mistake: (Thanks Courtney Nightengale) in the breakdown of regional medalsits by weight--at 125--should be three placers from the Norton Regional and three placers from the HOISINGTON Regional--not the Hesston Regional.

The medal count FOR each regional is correct however,--my fingers typed Hesston while my mind was saying Hoisington. I
