Is the number of wrestlers around the state down or is it just like that at my school

I don't fear the number has gone down, but the quality instead. I mean, if people like me can be ranked so high, something is wrong....

I get what your saying about the quality. I am ranked to and well i dont really know if i am quite good enough to be ranked. I barely finished the season last year with a winning record i think it was like 15-12.

Who are you mouse? If you want out, just say the word.

Back off a bit. Apprehension is a normal human emotion. I dont think he was saying that your doing a bad job or anything, he is probably just a young kid who's alittle bit surprised, amazed, pleased, scared, etc that someone else expects him to do well this year.

Mouse, although he appears to be in a bad mood tonight, from what I've noticed in the past, Brent Lane is as accurate as any of them when it comes to rankings.

Also, he probably spends a great deal of his own time coming up with the rankings which would explain his sensativity to criticism of them.

Mr Lane keep up the good work and mouse start believing in yourself and go kick some *** .

Ok....I'm backing up Lane on this one...for one...Mouse? you must have the brain the size of a mouse...you can't even remember your own record? Coach Lane is not being an *** in the situation...and Mouse probably would fare better not being ranked...too many people will do whatever they can to beat a ranked man.

I've always wondered about people who have to refer to themselves in the third person.

I think when we are talking about "THE MOUSE", we are probably talking about someone with considerably LESS self worth, self asteem, etc than "THE SWAYZ".

So, I really dont think it would be that bad of an idea to try and give this young man alittle boost in confidence rather than attack him.

No matter how harsh I might have originally thought Coach Lanes coments to mouse were, they pale in comparison to your comparing his brain size to that of a mouse.

SWAYZ, if you spend alittle more time reading between the lines I think you will find out that mouse is well aware of his record, but maybe he just isnt that proud of it.

I would kinda like to stay in them it give me a warm feeling inside havin my name on there lol. I did wrestle Pfansteil or however you spell it from hays really really close last year at state. I lead most of the match. I lost by one point. Hopefully my wrestling this year will prove that i should be there. I aint stupid either. I am just suprised that my name showed up. I have placed at kids state before. I have beat some good wrestlers before. I beat Matthew Bailes from KC Turner. I know i can wrestle good its just which one showes up that perticular match. But my name is Jared Chansler from Great Bend and i would like to stay in there i kinda lack in the confidence area so i need a lil booster.

Well Jared you just got your Confidence boost from Coach Lane, so from now on its up to you.

Dont worry about records, or who's done what in the past, just go out and wrestle with confidence every match and give every practice and every match 100%, then take what you get.

The worst that could happen is that you would feel good about the effort you gave at the end.

Anyone that does not want to be ranked should not be in the list. The pre-season rankings are based on state tournaments, qualifiers, etc... It does not consider record. To criticize me and the ranking process is amazing. In no way was my post a personal attack on Jared, I didn't even know who he was.(I do know who he is though) I would have said that to anyone so lay off a little would you.

Jared, best of luck to you this season. Keep me posted on your progress, but know this, I will have alot of your results already. I know who to watch.

So "mouse" if you beat me y were u 2-3 weights under me last season. And if you did you probably beat me in kids when i was up and comin. If you need a confidence booster i think you should look else where. confidence starts at practice and pride comes from winning. so if you want some confidence or pride then "WIN", and you'll be better off.

I beat you at kids state two years ago for 5th and 6th. I know people change alot during a year or so. I was just saying that. Wasn't you at 140 last year. If I am mistaken tell me. I was at 135. I wasn't critizing your ranking process or you. Sorry if I came across wrong.

Yea i remember now i was just gettin over having mono??(spell)?? the only reason im touchy is cause of all the b/s that gets put on these forums. yea i wrestled 140 last year.

MOUSE IS JARED CHANSLER and im surprised at the lack of cockiness, I beat this fool by 1st period pin the second year I wrestled, at a Great Bend Tournament. Maybe I belong on the rankings ehhh?

Who are you? The last tournament at great bend was my freshman year and i didn;t do well at all my freshman year and i have gotten alot better since then.
