who is the best 215 in kansas since the weight class was made? I would say its a toss up between floyd edwards from newton and chris galliart from ark city both from 1999 season, I don't even think lattimer and speer could hang with those two.

Was Chris Galliart ever a state champion? Lattimer one two and Speer one three. You cant even put Galliart on the mat with those two.

back in 1999 competiton was way harder than it was when lattimer and speer wrestled 215, presonally I think floyd edwards would pin speer and beat lattimer by points, I also think galliart would beat them both by points

How can you say competion was better then, Lattimer was a sophmore when Galliart was a senior lattimer was a runner-up to Josh Maize, and Galliart placed 3rd at 215 I have seen both of them wrestle in state competition and there is no way Galliart would beat Lattimer.

Just to correct you, Chris Galliart was from Winfield not Ark City.

If we are talking about all 215s then my vote goes to Jack Dennis from Oakley. He was totally unstoppable. He is my number one 215.

I am a little biased because I coached him, but Charles Chaney of Wyandotte is the best I have seen at 215 and we wrestled Latimore with a kid that wasnt anywhere close to Chaney and got beat 4-3 in the state finals and should have beaten him. Charles was unbelievable and if you remember his state finals match it lasted 55 seconds. He was a remarkable athlete and after the season pinned a three timer (Bozart) from Missouri who was ranked third in the nation at the time. Charles went on to play college football but was recruited by OSU a little. Anyone who ever had to wrestle or coach against him will attest to his ability.
