Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School What leagues will dominate?

Come state tournament time in both Wichita and Ft. Hays, which leagues will do the best overall for 3-2-1A, 4a, 5a, and 6a. I'm really interested in 4a.

Maybe not the best league in the state, but one that is right up there is the Big 7 League in 3-2-1A and some teams in 4A. It consist of: Royal Valley, Sabetha, Effingham, Holton, Hiawatha. Holton and Hiawatha are both in 4A, and the rest are in 3-2-1A. I wrestled in this league and it was always a pretty good league. Especially gave us some publicity when Effingham won state.

I would have to say without a doubt it would be the NWKL. With The #1 hoxie and #2 oakley ranked teams in 123a with atwood oberlin and st. francis also. Plus they have the defending state champs from 4a last year and #2 ranked team this year Colby also the #3 ranked team Goodland. The NWKL has there are 16 ranked wrestlers ranked in 123 a in the new poll and in 4a there are 11 ranked wrestlers in the newest poll. NWKL will dominate at state this year.

I think the nckl will have a good showing. kriegbaum at 103, denault at 112, charbonneau at 119, grater at 130, pruser at 135, strait at 189.
all of these wrestlers are in the top 2 or 3 in 4a and have good chances to win state titles. as of right now the nckl has 19 ranked people in 4a represented by 5 teams. sorry wamego but your not helping our cause any.
