How many seniors to be in 4a will be going for their 4th state placing in 4 attempts next year? What weight and school? I know Erisman of Desoto will be going for a placing again and should be a favorite to win. Will he go 160 or 152 again?

I know he took second place last year. How did Erisman do the other years? What is his career record and will he be a senior this year?
It amazes me that he does so well nationally (teching a HS national champ!) - yet hasn't been a HS KS state champ yet. (i mean no disrespect to Erisman - he is an awesome wrestler).

Malay you don't know much anyway.... Anyway the summer wrestling is a different style which can mean a huge difference in some kids, the way they train in the "off season" can make a difference, how serious they take it can also mean it, and on and on and on there's too many variables to try and figure out. He has had some good competition though in High School in Zahm, Luedke and the other escapes me..... Maybe Kansas is just that deep I mean Luedke is a Naitonal Champion? Alex

I think these records are right....
Neil Erisman:
Freshman: 33-1, 2nd place (Luedke) Sophomore: 31-2, 3rd place (Wiscomb and Vernon,OK) Junior: 41-1, 2nd place (Zahm)
As dominating as he is in Folkstyle, his trapped arm gut makes him a better Freestyle wrestler. We'll see Neil at a Big 12 school in two years. Being an OU grad, I hope he becomes a Sooner!

Won't hold it against you being an OU grad! LOL, I think he will more than likely show up at a Big XII school as well, but you never know.

Sportsfan02,
It's lonely on top...
Coming from a school that stresses academics, it's also nice to add 7 National titles each in the two primary sports, Wrestling and Football.
KU has a cute little program though. Keep after it.

KU is having sanctions on them too. Looks like Mangino might get the can if they don't do something soon.

Tristen Deshazer will be very dominant next year. I would be very surprised to see him lose.

I'm pretty sure Erisman will be at 171 next year. He is projected at 165 for college.

Nick Shumate and Larry Perez probably won't lose until they meet up at 112 or 119.

Hey, sorry to tell you this, but you are TOTALLY WRONG. The "low graduation numbers" are from about '95-'99. According to ESPN.com and the Associated Press, Oklahoma has one of the highest graduation rates in the Big XII and in the NCAA. Ok, let's erase the bids and try again...
