There has been talk about the 140lbs and 145lbs weight classes being stacked. What about 189lbs? At the Chapman Regionals 189lbs is stacked: Strawn(1), Sutton Kearn(2), Marrs(3), Brakenhoff(4). Why isn't there much talk about this weight class?

Great class of wrestlers & all will be ready to be on top of the podium.
My favorite is Strawn. [total package].
In it to win it.

I think 1 and 4 will stay the same in that regional when it comes to placing. 2 and 3 may switch spots.

I dont know much about Brakenhoff or Sutton Kearn but I know that Strawn beat Marrs twice last year, once at regionals and again at state. Marrs hasnt really impressed me much this year. Do you think Strawn will pin his way through regionals and state?

I really believe those four guys at 189 will finish 1-4 at state also. Strawn is definitely the best of the bunch. Marrs and Sutton-Kearn could go either way. Brakenhoff is a sleeper who could beat either one of them even though I don't think anyone will touch Strawn. I think when they are seeded for regional it will be Strawn-1, Sutton-Kearn-2, Marrs-3, and Brakenhoff-4. Whoever finishes 4th at this regional will have a very good chance to beat the winner of whatever regional they face. Unlucky match-up for whoever that is.

Donte Jones is 25-1 and only lost to Bowen of Ottawa. Kimsey also lost to Bowen of Ottawa. Donte Jones won kids state last year, and has won every match by pin.Including beating Kush of Louisburg (by pin 1st period) who has beat Bowen of Ottawa. Not predicting a state championship(that would be nice though) but dont sell him short..

Jones has also pinned (1st period) Rodrigues of Turner who is ranked 6th in 5A.

I do think he's the best senior wrestler in 4a and overall coming out this year though with Erisman slightly behind. Marrs looked really good this year the one time I saw him as did Brakenhoff, not sure how they will match up, but I think Brakenhoff at 4th stays there. I've heard Sutton-Kern is massive this year and looking good as well. Don't forget Strawn and Marrs are ranked nationally if memory serves me right.

Kimzey from Prairie View beat Bowen from Ottawa at the Piper Tourney. Bowen got second at Piper, not Jones. There is also a very good heavy weight from Holton.

Maybe someone told you wrong information, I was there at the Piper tourney, and Kimsey lost to Bowen. Yes I know about Roberts from Holton , he is definetly the favorite to take state.

Roberts is definately my favorite to take state. I think Zlatnik from Rossville will take 3-2-1A. He is definately very impressive and beat Roberts in a double-over time match but also lost to roberst at the Eudora tourney. He also pinned Kimsey at the Eudora tourney.
