Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Do They Still Do the Capitol Run?

A few years ago when my boys wrestled at State they had a Capitol Run, where they ran from the steps of the Capitol to the Expo Center. Are they still doing this? I haven't seen anything about it.

That sounds very cool.

It was. My boys enjoyed it. My nine year old(at that time) was worried about making weight so he wanted to do the run. When he got to weigh-in he made it without any problem.
He is not needing to do the run for weight this year as he is several pounds under, but him and his brother were wanting to do it for the fun of it.

That is something that has always been done by the Topeka Tornado Wrestling Club. You might try contacting someone from that club to see if they will be doing it again this year. I haven't heard.
