Around 60 % of last year's qualifiers and 60% of last year's medal winners have eligibility remaining.
Would be interested to hear of any predictions for freshman phenoms that will burst on to the scene this year. I know Sainty has a couple of talented ones coming in.

Very impressive list Les. After looking at those names, one can't help but get excited about the upcoming season. It will be interesting to see how these kids have grown(or not grown) during the off-season and where they will match up. Best of luck to all!!

...as far as 321-a goes, it will be interesting to see how some of these weights will turn out this year, last year some weights were senior dominated i.e 145 & 152. Glaze from Oberlin at 145 last year the only returning placer (5th) at 145, is a senior this year, leaving the door wide open. Gabe Smull from St. francis was the only freshmen to qualify at 145 last year.
depending how chubby everyone got over the summer, will depend on how the weights are shuffled this year. spectulation on how things might turn out is just that; pure spectulation. but its fun to try to prognose.
Les, would you know how many NWKL, state qualifiers return this year of the 224 slots open in 14 weight classes? and could you break that statistic down even further by classification, i.e how many soph., junior and seniors qualifiers return?
i know that most underclassmen will be in the lower weights, but how many in the upper weights? from 145 and up are underclassmen (kids that are soph and juniors this year) that are returning qualifiers?
just a curious piece of trivia, possibly something to debate, ponder or discuss.

Mr. Smull -
Hope this info is what you were looking for. I included Norton, as they return a wealth of talent and because they will certainly play a role in the final outcome of this year's state tourney.
I've heard that both Norton and St. Francis have great groups of incoming freshman this year too, which of course does not factor in to the mix for returning state points.
Teams are listed in order of returning team points.
Let me know if this is not what you were looking for or if you want more info. If anyone finds errors please let me know.

te2-
Harry LaMar has been handling the 3-2-1A rankings the past few years. So to be certain you should check with him on that.
I'll go out on a limb and predict that past performance and coach's feedback would be the primary criteria for the early season polls,
Would guess team rankings would be based upon the number of inviduals from a team ranked in the poll.

Why is there no 321a team site like Eudora's 4a preview?
