Good job! What teams were there? Heard about it, was asked to go, but unable to due to prior engagement. I like the dual format! No bracket watching and good mat time.

The team from Pittsburg looked great and represented KS well. Close final dual with the Predaotr Club but destroyed all other teams.

Hard Half,

That is why it says SEK boys did well! However if you look close you will see that 12 of the 17 spots were filled by the Pittburg club, and 1 of the others has wrestled with Pittsburg before, because that is where his mother is originaly from! And anyway the guy who put this tournament on said it would be fine to pull from another club.

Thanks to Kenny, Channing, Shane, C.J. and Lucas, we were able to fill a complete team.

In any case it was a great event and I would like to thank the Predators for putting this on, and will hopefully they will invite us back next year.

and HardHalf our club, as well as everyone else really enjoyed the dual format, so if you like we can set up a another dual with your team so you can try to "have your day."

1st Place – Pittsburg Pride (4-0)
2nd Place – Predator Silver (3-1)
3rd Place – Oak Grove Panthers (2-2)
4th Place – Western Stars Gold (1-3)

We just want to thank the Pittsburg wrestling club. It was a new and enjoyable experience. It really gave the kids a since of what a TEAM is really about. It was neat to see the Pittsburg team invite our boys into their team and really cheer them on and vice versa. Kids on the edge of the mat yelling and cheering for each other. They really grasped the concept that they were scoring points for the team and not for themselves. It has a totally different atmosphere than that of your Saturday tournament. Hope somebody can do something like this in Kansas.

Thanks again Pittsburg!

I too would like to thank the Pittsburg Wrestling Club for inviting my son to be a part of this dual. I agree with Jason that the atmosphere is completly different. On Saturday you may have 1 or 2 of your team mates mat side cheering you on, there the complete team was present. I also find not having to wait 20-30 matches in between was a great plus.
Again, thank you for a great experience and I too hope we get to be a part of another one of these.

Thanks to all the coaches for being there for our kids at the dual (Pittsburg, Chanute and Columbus)...... Hard Half........If you get right down to it.....had the team been hand picked...... Pittsburg could have put a team together from the area clubs that wouldn't have lost a match and my son probably wouldn't have been picked to go......I am so glad he did get to participate in this event......it gave him a feeling of what high school will be like and he loved it.....thanks Jason!!

Definitely did not want to get anyone upset or offend anyone who particpated with the Pittsburg Club. They all wrestled well, and should be proud of their accomplishments! The tourney ran a bit long, but was a great experience for the most part to show these kids that there is a "team" aspect to wrestling, aside from the individual accolades.

I do understand that you are only supposed to bring your club - no pickups. But I also saw it as Pittsburg doing the Predators a favor by filling a slot since teams kept dropping at the last minute. Predators did an excellent job and I hope they continue with this next year. Probably could have used a third mat. It sure would have made things go a bit quicker. But for it being the first time this had been done, I'd say things went real smooth. Well Done Predators!

Boy the crowd sure was electric. For the most part it felt like an anti-Kansas crowd. But the young wrestlers stepped it up and in the end they were the ones making all the noise as they held up the first place trophy.
