Who do you think will win the Metro Classic Kansas or Missouri? My heart says Kansas but my brain tells me Missouri.

Any match ups do you think will be real good?

I think it is pretty even this year, our upper weights are pretty solid. If they get some falls then it could go our way.

whichever team doesn't give up stick points will probably get the V. some interesting match-ups.

remember, it has been 1 1/2 weeks since state in KS and 2+ weeks since competition for MO. That always favores KS

Anyone have the history of past matches? I would be interested in seeing the team win/loss records.

This was a horrible thing to watch...but i still love you kansas. Hey Matt Middleton, Kansas loves you. But that dual was a beat down. Missouri had some studs though, i'll give them that.

ENJOY!!!

I wouldnt say that kansas really lacked skill i think it was alot more about that we were gasing we only practice twice over the little break between.

The Missouri kids keep working out after their State. I have even heard of some doing two a days. They work out in the morning at their High School and then go work out with their Missouri team in the evening. I think they take it a little more serious than we do. Not the actual meet but wrestling in general. Year-round scrappers. Hell D1 nationals been in Missouri for the last 4 years, 3 times. They have a D1 school with wrestling.

Maybe they needed you to coach them Old Dog. I bet you could make them pretty tough in a week.

I don't know about that. I just think any coach would like a little time to see what he's gotten himself into when accepting the position. The kids can't change their style in a week or two but it would be nice to know what certain opponents like to do (a little scouting) and then work with the kids to establish a defense.

Our wrestlers were out of shape compared to theirs and they were all looking for one move to get it. Missouri kept adjusting and changing off to better position which allowed them to score against good competion. Which brings me to the question "Do our kansas wrestlers take their opponenets litely or just don't take the match as serious.?" Failure to prepare is preparing for failure. but whose fault is it maybe the system, Missouri always gets that extra week, but I don't like execuses we as Kansas just need to get more serious and work harder. I am willing to help all those who are willing to help themselves Location--> East Kansas Freestyle Club

Dear Kansas (KC Metro) Wrestlers,
Quantrell's raiders would've been proud of last night's massacre. I'm not sure what the reasons were for it, but I've seen most of you wrestle a lot better than last night. No excuses. It was a very balanced 4A, 5A and 6A collapse. You made the MO guys all look like DI prospects when in fact only one or two are. You approached last night's All Star meet like you were coming out for a recreational dual at the Y. Make no mistake you spoke for all of the coaches, wrestlers and fans on our side of the metro area last night. Next year, the MO team gets better with Simpson, the Moore boys and Caputo...all nationally ranked kids. I hope the 2005 class is inspired to work and improve and remember this sorry episode. There's a lot of work to do in East Kansas wrestling. You can start now at Meige and BVNW. This summer, let's finish ahead of MO at Fargo on Cadet and Junior levels and at the National Duals.
