Wrestling pretty well in duals. But I think SMW sent out a few J.V. kids because every match but 140 ended in a pin.

Not that it would matter, but West lost 9 kids from last year and they didn't match up well with south. Coach sat a couple of starters because of dicipline issues and west also had 3 opens. West point scorers were matched up against the best from OLS. OLS brought it pretty good. Swander matched up with elsrode, fitzgerald bumped up to 171 to pinned groom on a great standing roll through, after groom had a great reshot and hansen the HWT matched up with one of the only guys that has beat him in smith. (i believe 4 times already this year) i also heard sme held kids out because of that 30 point system we all love so much. OLS would have beat both teams anyway, but it looked a lot worse than it would have if both teams were at full strength. thought i would say something since it seemed some wanted to know. Good luck to all.

I agree Vikes. Still confused how you hold a kid out when it could be a match up of 2 of the better kids in state, might be another dual you could hold out.

to reply, you sit a kid regardless of the matchup to discipline him. it's not a choose when best senario. any good ethical coach will tell you that discipline has to be strong and consistant or it wont work.

to bad though about the matchup, but grenty and almauger already wrestled once at derby and they will probably match up at league

why would you sit out and have your team get embarrassed like they did?

We had to sit out either one of two nights, and seeing as how the other one is senior night and a bigger deal we sat out the Olathe South one.
