Some schools like Concordia, Manhattan, and Abilene run JV tournaments on Fridays in pool format base off of talent. That way if your JV guy is a stud but has a stud in front of him he can go in the Gold bracket. If your guy is a first year wrestler and doesn't know a half nelson from a chicken wing it's beneficial for them as they get put with the "lower tiered" wrestlers that are their pace.
