Kris Fitzgerald KSU student has signed up over 110 volunteers in the Manhattan area and the Kansas City area has over 125 volunteers sent in that I know of. I am sure that in total we are over 250 maybe 300 for the entire state. I am not sure if there have been organized recruitment efforts in Wichita, Salina or Hays.

The state tournaments would be great opportunities to put us over the top in volunteers. Please read the volunteer coordinator topic at the top of the high school forum if you are interested in being involved in leading this effort at one of the three sites. We signed up over 80 people alone at the Bishop Miege 5A regional this past Saturday and I know that one coach at the SMNW 6A Regional signed up about 42 people just taking the signup sheets into the stands. I would think we could do get a lot of volunteers at the State tourney sites, if one or two people are willing to actively recruit.

If you have a table or even if you are just signing up people from a clipboard, you can mainly do it during breaks. That is when most people signed up Saturday at Miege. If you have any questions about this or what to tell people contact me at vlnowak@everestkc.net. You can do this and still watch and enjoy the tournament. I watched a lot of matches at Miege last Saturday.

Have Fun and Good luck to all wrestlers, the coaches, families, friends and fans at Wichita, Salina and Hays this weekend.
