Did Chapman and Abliene have a match against each other last night?

If so, results please. Thanks.

Final score was 35 to 33 Abilene. Don't have all the results, but I know there was some pretty high emotion. Chapman forfeited 160 and 215 in the dual with Abilene fielding all 14 weights. Chapman's Espeseth beat Abilene's Tech in the 285lb match at the end of the night by decision, although he needed the pin to win the team competition for the Irish.

Yeah what was the result of the 135 pound match, should've been a dandy.

On the 135 pound match, Jess had the takedown and then tried to do a pin-move. Petersen matched it and was able to pull Jess over. The rest of the match was with Jess trying to escape a pin. Jess comment was "next time, I'm just going to wrestle and not try anything fancy". He learned that with a wrestler as good as Petersen, you can't give him a single mistake or he will make you pay for it. On Thursday, he made Jess pay.

Chapman wrestlers wrestled very hard. There were a few disappointments but with every duel, you will always have those. What hurt us as a team was the open spots. I am looking on the positive side as this will hopefully give the team more determination to prove what they are made of on next weekend.

The first time that Jess and Petersen wrestled Petersen won 4-1. Jess had a bad match. He has learned from it and is ready for this weekend.

I think if nick and jess wrestle again nick might pin him. He had him pinned many times at the dual.

Tough Match, great night of H.S. Wrestling,

Abilene will be much tougher at regionals too. I don't expect to see some of those guys that were out there for the Chapman-Abilene dual take the mat for regionals. I would guess that Gjerstad would be in at 215 perhaps and have a good shot for the Cowboys in qualifying at that weight.

I agree with wrestler155 if peterson wrestles as good as he did in the last match its a very good chance if jess gets caught on his back he could be in big trouble

What weight is Tech going to be at for regionals? Is he really up at 285? I thought he would win 189.

Abilene moved a lot of wrestlers around due to Chapman having the opens. They moved Tech to 285 just for that duel. Neither Tech nor Justin Espeseth weight 285. Justin is around 230 pounds.

As far as Jess and Petersen go, it will be interesting when they meet up again. As for getting pinned, it could happen but I know that Jess will not make the same mistakes he did on Thursday.

Will Tech be 215? Could be a good match between him and Kober?

No he is staying at 189. And Espeseth weighed in at 266 not 230. Tech weighed in at 192.
