In 285 Andrus was not there. In the Rodriguez/Holly match Rodriguez scored 5 pts on a takedown in the first and Holly got an escape. In the 3rd Holly got an escape and a takedown. He then let Rodriguez up and got another point for stalling but couldn't get another takedown. Rodriguez won 6-5.

In 140 Miller beat Hogan by DQ. Miller had a takedown in the first to lead 2-0 and Hogan got an escape. In the 2nd Miller got an escape to lead 3-1. In the 3rd Hogan got an escape and was down 3-2 and with under 5 seconds left in the match they both went out of bounds and had a little shoving and were in each others face. When the ref was re-setting them Hogan reached around the ref and tried to hit Miller. He was disqualified even though Miller would have won the match 3-2.

Congratulations to Miller that is an impressive win. There was an article in the Topeka newspaper this weekend and I believe there was a possibility that Hogan was going to hit win #100 in this tournament.

I would have liked to have seen the heavyweight final. It sounds like it was a great match.

Will Andrus be ready for regionals?

Does washburn Rural have another Dual this week or is Hogan out of regionals for the DQ? If so that would be a shame.

I am not too familiar with the rules. When you are Disqualified for an action like that, are you supposed to miss the next event?

Steve Andrus was not there yesterday because he would rather go to a school dance instead of wrestle

I heard Andrus was sick, but maybe it was a dance. There was another wrestler at the tournament that left in the middle of the tournament and forfeited his next match because of a dance.

It souldn't matter if they schedule your sweet sixteen! It's time to play for keeps!
