Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Rogers vs Hase

Not sure how many were able to watch the Rogers vs Hase match up in the Finals of the beloit Tournament but what a display it was. Rogers came away with the OT victory but a match that I am sure many people would watch over and over and over again.

Congrats to both these young men and I wish them both the best.

Side notes After the match Hase showed get sportsmanship. Mucho respect for this young man

I wish I would have been there for this match. I heard the Silver Lake fans weren't so sportsmanlike. Good to hear that at least the wrestler was:)

The Ref called us for a reversal with 9 seconds to go for the win. Then after the period was over changed the call to an escape. Causing an overtime. This happened right in front of our crowd. It definitly caused a reaction from our parents.

Holy Cow! I could see how that might cause a reaction. Anyway, sounded like a great match.

Silver Lake fans are fine. They are loud and enjoy the sport. I like the support they get from their fans and I would not classifly them as bad fans. Just like any great fan base they rut for their team. Close call are going to get boos from one side or another

I just hope Rogers and Hase are on opposite sides of the bracket at State. I'm really looking forward to watching the 3-2-1A 112 lb bracket - there some very good wrestlers - but Rogers and Hase are THE two best with no other wrestler even close.

Should be exciting in Hays when those two hook it up again!
