I was browsing through the forum at TheMat.com and found this article. It was very sureal when I watched it the first time. After I watched the video it got me thinking. How do we curb this type of behavior? Can we really forsee this kind of reaction? I think we can. This is a big reason that I feel we need to have our parents in the stands and not matside. Any other suggestions? I just don't want Kansas Wrestling, or Wrestling period, to get a black eye from this kind of behavior.

I saw the same video yesterday and could not believe it! It is a shame. But we see it every sports season, somewhere something like this happens....

Is this the video of the father pushing the competitor off his son during a match? If so, I saw it on tv last night and I fear this is only the beginning for our sport. With the youtube sites, every infraction of sportsmanship or worse will land on the net, for the world to see. So for those that think you are only "protecting your wrestler" when physically or verbally accosting a referee, opponents coach, or a competitor, be prepared to be famous. For those that do not file the paperwork to see that these type of individuals are punished, you are every bit as much of the problem as the assailants.
