We're relatively new to KS wrestling, but we've seen some pretty good kids at these weights at a few tourneys:
76#: Roy- Paola Thoele- Paola Barker- Columbus Sharp- Olathe East
80#: Haralson- Sunflower Fiscus- Chanute L. Eck- Brawlers G. Burley- Great Bend
We haven't wrestled a few of these on this short list, but we've watched some of them at other tourneys and they look tough!

Braydon Goff moved to KS with him family from Webb City, MO. He was 10u/70 state champ in MO last year. They still wrestle with Team Central South West in MO alot of the time, but live in KS and will wrestle the KS state series. He is a very talented wrestler. It will be interesting to see how he stacks up against, Harelson, etc. He can definitely wrestle with anybody from what I have seen.

Mr Pursel, Thanks for the kind words on Brayden... it is an honor when someone who has a son with amazing ability and talent like yours talks about my son that way! (it's kind of creepy how much you actually knew about him!!! LOL!!! ) He's worked hard the last couple of years and has acheived (and exceeded) some goals that he set for himself a few years ago, and now he'll have a bigger challenge in a new state with a lot of extremely talented wrestlers at his weight! It's going to be fun to watch what transpires between now and state to see who drops or bumps up weight classes, and we hope to be joining Haralson, Eck, Burley and others in Topeka at the end of March! Good luck to everyone! Chris Goff

TCSW Dad-I stay pretty well informed. Actually the info I knew about your son was what you had already posted on the MO wrestling website. I am on there some as well because Bo wrestles alot in MO. This time of year is fun, good luck to you and your son.

A couple of others from out west include Regis Weiss of Russell(76 or 80), Dylan Schumacher of Hays (80 or 84) and Greg Burley of Great Bend. Gregs brother Chris,76 broke his arm in Salina and is out for the year. Looks like alot of good wrestlers in these weights!

Weiss and Schumacher are both definetely in the mix at either weight. Roy, Thoele, and Weiss would be my top 3 at 76. 80 seems more crowded with Haralson, Eck, Schumacher, Burley, Goff, Fiscus and I am sure more. Schumacher as stated could go 84.
They will all be tough. 24/7

Konner is another real tough kid that is a prior state champ. Several of the wrestlers listed will be at Hays and will make for some excellent matches.

OK 24/7, there's been alot of talk about who's good at 76/80. Who's your pick for 84/88/92? And where's Bo going? We missed him at the Classic!

I am not sure about 76 Goff-Columbus is tough, at 80 I would have to say Harelson-Baldwin has to be the favorite with Eck-Brawlers, McKinney-Paola, Burley-Great Bend and Kriss-Colby, next. Bo is going 84 as he has been all year and hopefully will be in the mix there with Aaron Engels-Brawlers, Biddle-Cental, and Schumacher-Hays. At 88 would say Trevor Cox-Brawlers, and Chase Locke-Maize. I don't know all the kids at 92. From what I know I would day Armstrong-Brawlers and Andrews-Spartans. Probably others I am forgetting.
We have been traveling quite a bit and decided to stay close this weekend and wrestle in MO. We did travel to Wichita and wrestle about a month ago.
Just my opinion. Good luck to everyone. It all depends on who is hot that weekend.

Collin wrestled great Saturday and looks to be another tough one to add to the growing list of 80# kids... I would also like to add Wyatt Villers from Ark City to the list also, he gave Brayden a good tough match in the backside semis (6-5 was the final score). There were some great matches all day in the 80# bracket and there were several kids who wrestled tough and just came up short of placing, and I'd like to wish them all good luck this weekend at Subs!
