K-State finished 3rd at the Conference Championships in Boulder, Colorado on Saturday. Newman University edged the Wildcats by 2.5 points to claim the second spot and Colorado State finished in first place. Six Kansas State wrestlers qualified for the NCWA National Championships on March 8-10. Ahsha Abu-Ali, Joey Martinez, Steve Kern, and Grant Reichert were conference champions and Paul Owings and Gannon Reichert finished in fourth place. Looking for a wildcard bid is Donald Holliday who finished 5th on the day. The Wildcats will face 65 other teams in Dallas for the NCWA National Championships next weekend.
