I know you were looking at weight class adjustments......

With all the talk of incomplete brackets at Subs, District, and State.


Have you considered the following weights as a starting place for adjusting the recognized weights in Kansas???


8-U 45, 50, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 87, 95, 103, 112, 120, HWT.
10-U 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 130, 140, HWT.
12-U 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 145, 165, 185, 205, 225, HWT.
14-U 70, 77, 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, HWT.
16-U 98, 105, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 245, HWT.


I know you looked at this info a while back. Just wondering what possible scenarios would make our weight classes more closely resemble USAW - National.

USAW also has a different age cutoff date.

USAW does not have a different age cut off. They recommend the Sept 1 cutoff for Folkstyle and the Jan 1 cutoff for Freestyle and Greco Roman. They have enforced this on the Ultimate Dominator events but the State Directors voted to keep the Jan 1 cutoff date for USA Folkstyle Nationals, againsth USA Wrestlings recommendation.

Missouri and Pennsylvania have Jan 1 cutoff date as does freestyle and greco
Everyone else in the country is in line with school grades so kids are wrestling within there grade
The weight change is easier but the date sucks
Some kids in missouri are getting cutout of their 14 year wrestling (cannot wrestle club once in high school); those kids who were born between sept 1 and Dec 1.
My boy included, I have 6 years to get it changed.
