My real name is Richard Michael Hunt, my buddies call me Mike. I am from Coffeyville ks, originally, and now I live in Colby. I have a brother named Corey. I was worried that if I called myself Dick Hunt, I would be banned so I used my middle name.

Was it when the oldtimers realized that some of the names were offensive only after much chat room banter about them?

It was Sarcasm, and as for what Shane said, I've been harassed by fake names on here only to find out who the person was, as they tried to be sneaky with one name and vindictive with the other even saying spitful things while I battled health issues (example: HOPE YOU DIE). Not something that makes you happy all the time, but I put my name out there and know that people don't like some of what I say, I could honestly care less about using real or fake names, but if you are going to call someone out or hack into their profiles and make statements like that, I just want to know who you are. Many people have talked about this issue, but nobody has really ever posted anything about it.

I was reading this forum and i have always agreed that people should put their names on what they say, not because they owe it to anybody, but because if you dont you are pretty much a chicken sh*t. Then i started listening to the argument about how this is an online forum and people and say what they want and i thought i guess that is true, it is the internet, what are you going to do about it. Then this morning i realized that was one of the dumbest things i have ever thought. Me and my friends are on an on-line K-state forum that cost us a $100 dollars a year and they know who you are cause they have your credit card number, and if you start swearing on their or being crude to other people they will kick you off without a second thought. Yes this forum is part of Rivals.com and has recruting information and other reports on K-state sports, but i know that me and my friends get on their mainly for the forum to hear the inside gossip and stuff. I am not saying i think they should charge us money to get on here, or even that you should have to give your name to one of the people in charge. I do think however that if you are saying something that is going to hurt someone or say something that is a rumor or a flat lie on here everyone should just act like nothing can be done about it because it is just an online forum. I dont know what the right solutions is, but i do know that their is stuff being done online on other sites. Anyways, just some thoughts i had about this topic, now you can all tell me what a dumb crap i am.

I think that before we post things, we should think about them. Would I chew my son's butt for saying that? There are always things that would be different in a perfect world. However, in this far from perfect world, I only control my own actions.
