Thank you to all participants for putting on a great display of wrestling for the fans.

Several matches were decided with last second takedowns to secure the victory.

an 8 point win isn't that decisive. plus, this only tests the very best wrestlers as seniors, not all grades, or depth.

Regardless of how you want to interpret the final results, if you weren't there, you missed out. Lots of very tough, exciting matches. Congrats to all of the wrestlers on a great season!

Just curious if the results get faxed or emailed to all the major newspapers around the state? I'm sure the Eagle wouldn't print it but we should try anyway.

First I want to say thanks to all who helped put the Senior Classic on. It was a great time for all with some excellent wrestling competition. Though I was disappointed that Pyle wasn't there to show-off his skills, it was a great competition.

I heard that the Brown and Allen match was a good one. I wasn't there either, but I was told that Brown took Allen down twice in the first, but I didn't get many specifics.

The match was decided on a takedown with less than ten seconds on the clock. My friend that was there said, it was a great match and both wrestlers were dead at the end of it.

These two have a lot of respect for each other and I know they really enjoyed getting to battle here and I'm glad it was a great match. I wish I would have been there to see it personally also.

Sounds like a heck of a dual and I hope these seniors are ready to battle out in Virginia.

We would be interested in a video as well. We did not have our camera or video camera that night.

In the past it has been videotaped, but I didn't see that being done this year. I thought it was odd that when we have it in Topeka we don't tape it...I think we could make good money off of sales, especially to colleges whose coaches couldn't make it.

I would like to give major kudos to Nick Kough...he took on the challenge of being a replacement in the Sr. Classic late and came in all the way from Scott City to help make sure another match would occur...even in defeat it was great for him to step up and help out Kansas as a whole be highlighted on the night.

Things of note: Coming into this year's version based on the last 2 Big v. Small dual format the Big Schools had won 19 matches and the Small Schools had also won 19 matches. (Big's won 12 in 2005 and 7 in 06, Smalls went 8 in 05 and 11 in 06)

Since the Big v. Little started, Jarrett and Jordan Edison are the first brothers to have competed in the event (both for the big school)

Following the completion of the 2007 version of the Big v. Small School competition, the Small Schools lead not only the series 2-1 but lead in terms of bonus points accumulated as they have garnered 58 mdec/techs/pins in the 3 duals to the big schools 52 points. 36 of the big school's points are off of 6 falls with the other 16 coming via way of 4 majors. Small Schools have 7 majors for 28 points with the remaining 30 coming off of 5 falls.

Also in the 3 years of BS v. SS the Big Schools have never lost a match at 130lbs...coincidentally the Small Schools have yet to lste at 140, 160, or HWT.

However, if Bahe hadn't moved this past year he'd have been wrestling for the small schools.
