Hello I would like to Thank the Kansas wrestling clubs that were able to help out with Brute Nationals this past weekend. I hope I don't leave someone out. Travius Stokes and KC club with 10 kids, Silver Lake Club with Coach Lamar and Coach Schaffer, Pete Sierant and KC Turner club,Jenna Rieschick of Jackson County Club,Klint Deere and Topeka crew,Big Mike Berscheit and G-E club. I know several other clubs from Olathe East and Johnson County worked with Carey.
Special Thanks for Randy Hinderliter, I asked you come over and I planned on helping you record results. But I was needed elsewhere. Thanks to Tyler Gonzales,Danny Grater and Blake Fisher of Fort Hays State for helping me. I appreciate the support and your willingness to work.
To all of my friends in the Kansas community and Midwest I would like to apologize for all the diffculities you may have encountered. It was extremely diffcult for me cause. I was not officially a meet director and I ended up putting out fires.
I know all coaches/kids are to receive an evaluation form in a couple of weeks. But I would like to help this meet become a GOOD tournament. If you would email me "How to Improve Brute Nationals" I would be willing to take your concerns to John Purnell, Jeff Bowyer, Carey Rolofson and Jennifer Goering. They are good people and I think all of us can learn from Mistakes. My email is robertgo@manhattan.k12.ks.us I would have logged on sooner. But I have a huge KSHSAA meetings in Topeka this Wednesday on weight management control/hydration testing for 2007-2008. Trying to gather as much information as possible from our KWCA board and Kansas HS coaches. On Friday/Saturday I will be at KSHSAA for the Board of Directors meetings. I usually don't post but rather try and help the Kansas wrestling community where possible. Please email if you have concerns and I will try my best to help you.
Final note this was my last year to serve on the USAW Kansas Executive Board, If you know of someone that is willing to serve please email me. So I can nominate them like Coach Cairns of SFT nominated me years ago. I asked several really good Kansas Club Leaders in the last several weeks, but no one has stepped up. Thank you RMG

Sports Fan

I for one will have to agree with Mr. Furches. The staff at the Coliseum is very rude and they are not very professional at dealing with people. Also, I did not enjoy my time at Brute this year and think that they need to do some serious changing before next year. I like the idea of the tournament, and the opportunities for the kids to wrestle good competition, but it was a mess and needs to be fixed. And to respond to your doubts of donation, you can contact the President of Brute Adidas and ask him about the programs they have helped. This past year it was Delaware State. I believe Brute purchased all new mats for them. As you know this could be anywhere from 10 to 30 thousand depending on the number and quality of the mats.
