I am positive that there will be a list coming up from BRUTE eventually, but the way the tournament ran who knows when? But I wanted to thank the competent people like Bob Gonzalez and some others who obviously were under a lot of stress due to lack of the organization but managed to get things done to the best of their own ability. Thanks to those who were helpful.
Anyway, I coached Taylor Medlin, GA (Senior, 288) and saw him defeat Va'shon Moore, a Missouri state runner-up, and reach the Brute Finals where he got beat by Matt Sixta from Iowa (Buena Vista signee).
Medlin is a former Kansan who wrestled for us at Olathe North as a sophomore prior to moving to moving to Georgia where he placed 5th this season in a state bracket of 32. Medlin was that goofball with a mullet from Olathe North who always wore a NINTENDO t-shirt. He's not changed a whole lot besides getting a lot stronger. He is still a lot of fun to be around.
Medlin has signed to play football next season for Georgia Southern (NCAA DI-AA), but recently has gotten some interest to wrestle and play football at UNC-Pembroke (NCAA D-II).
