Myron won his first match 6-0 and is up next against ND stars.

2nd round results: (two still in progress)

Kansas Red - 0
Ohio Team Jordan - 104 (final)

That Ohio team is loaded to say the least. They have won 39 out of 40 matches in their first two duals.

Kansas Blue - 30
North Dakota Stars - 20

They are at 152 in this dual.

Kansas Gold - 18
Michigan Extreme - 31

They are at 140 here. KS lost 3 OT matches in this one. Tyler Baughman is up now at 140. I might have one more update before noon, but will be away from noon till about 2:30.

OK, I'm back. A lot of tough middle school kids at this event!

After three rounds:

KS Gold: (1-2)
Lost 41-44 to Missouri
Lost 31-41 to Michigan Extreme
Won 58-22 over Iowa Red

KS Blue: (1-2)
Won 63-27 over Montana B
Lost 33-46 to North Dakota Stars (up by 20 at one time)
Lost 0-100 to Iowa Black (ouch)

KS Red: (2-1)
Won 63-36 over North Dakota B
Lost 0-106 to Ohio Team Jordan
Won 47-31 over Iowa White

The preliminary rounds determined the seeds for the 32 team bracket that starts shortly. The 3 top teams from last year are Team Jordan, Iowa Black and Michigan Extreme. Our Middle schoolers are guaranteed 7 duals and may wrestle 9 times this weekend! Great competition and great times wrestling for Kansas!

There might be a few more, but I know that Ryne Cokeley and Taylor Moeder are undefeated.

GO KANSAS!

Wow, some realy great wrestling. I appreciate the updates. I can't get away from the computer, since I can't get Alex to call at least every 10 minutes!

1st round of 32 results! All three KS teams are now 2-2.

Kansas Gold - 55
Tennessee - 38

Kansas Blue - 54
Michigan B - 28

Kansas Red loses to South Dakota. I'm unsure of the final score but Kansas had a lead and lost it in the upper weights. I'll try and get the Red team's individual stats posted a little later. They have a bye next round and are done for the day.

Kansas Gold is just starting their last dual of the day against Nebraska White and Kansas Blue has the Montana A team. If they both win.....they wrestle each other first thing tomorrow!

P. S. Reece Conklin injured his shoulder (not severe) and is not expected to return. Kansas got an alternate from another team to fill in for him.

Kansas Gold is beating Nebraska 28-0 so far. Kansas Blue is tied 6-6 with Montana's A team. This is a dated update. I should have a final by 7:30.

Still in progress...

Kansas Gold - 54
Nebraska White - 11

Leupold just won 4-3 in the 152 match. KS Gold will advance to tomorrow's quarter-final against the winner of Montana A and KS Red.

Kansas Red - 15
Montana A - 35

It is a tall order for KS Red to win this one.

If Kansas Gold beats Montana A tomorrow, they will face an incredibly tough Illinois Gold team in the Semis. Illinois faces Nebraska Red in the other quarter-final. I hopefully will have finals on these as well as updated individual results tonight.

These duals are fantastic. Kansas has to make these Middle School Duals a priority in the years to come. Taking 60 Kansas middle schoolers to wrestle for their state against the nation's best competition is an awesome preparation for High School!

Go Kansas!
