Mike,

Entry into the Kids/Cadet division regional championships must be processed through the member's state. Each state is allowed to establish their own policies for participation, as long as those policies do not violate rules established by the region or by USA Wrestling. Oklahoma and Missouri have restrictions on who can attend this tournament and requested that online registrations not be allowed by individuals from their respective states to avoid a problem with having to turn away nonqualified wrestlers at the tournament.

This is the first year for the Southern Plains Kids/Cadet tournament to utilize online registrations, although we did a test run on the procedures at the Junior Regionals last year in Hutchinson. I'm sure there will be some discrepancies that will show up as the process runs its course and we'll try to deal with them as they come up. Thanks for the notification of the problem with registration from the Kansas page. I'll look over it and try to get things corrected ... if you or anyone else find any other problems, please let me know.

The Kansas Kids Executive Council is currently reconsidering their policy that the camp is mandatory for all Kids/Cadet competing at the Southern Plains Regionals. I would prefer to wait to respond to your questions regarding this policy until the Executive Council makes their final ruling.
