I have decided to organize a Kansas team to wrestle at the Park Hill Duals on May 19th. We are short on time, so contact me as soon as possible if you are interested. Cadets and Juniors are eligible, but we are only taking 15 wrestlers and are allowed two alternates. The flyer is on the PH thread on this forum. There is no entry fee cost for the wrestlers (The team fee is taken care of). We need the best that Kansas has to offer. So far, I have confirmed interest from:

Nathan Furches
Aldon Isenberg
Kyle Detmer
Phil Witt

Contact me on my cell at 913-484-3624 or PM.

Thanks!

Eric Johnson

Eric, FYI...

If your list fills, be sure to let me know.

Wasn't sure how many would be interested. But brought the same subject up tonight at practice. Discussed it with Eric Akin, Sean, and Gonz. They decided to take a team for KCWC.

I just started taking names tonight, many open spots. Hopefully they will fill by the end of practice Monday, and finalize by next Wed.

Let's keep each other posted. --scott

guys
I may have several of my own kids available to possibly fill some spots if needed. basically have a 125lber, 135-40, 171, 189 and a very inexperienced heavy. It is graduation weekend and a bit awkward working around that, but we had a good time last year and the competition is tough and fun.

Will do sir (Klint). We would welcome any enthusiast. However, I do not want to hamper any of Chief's goals, and I need to confirm "team size" with director...and then our coaches.

The rationale I put to the club was... Every enthusiastic wrestler needs mat time. This is one of only a few few events left before state.

I need to confirm with the directors, but Akin and Gonz told the wrestlers that we could keep two alternates per weight on the roster. From the flyer, I think the directors meant "a 17-man roster".

After last night's response and this morning, interest seems (to me) to be higher than we anticipated. We already have a few popular weights plus a few empties.

Thanks,

Eric Johnson

I don't think there is much of a chance that Keller can make 108.
