6A Wrestlers Against State at Freaking Olathe Northwest. My dad broke the bad news to me this weekend about the site of 6A State. I started this thread to unite 6A wrestlers in an attempt to change the venue of 6A State. I believe that moving the state tourney to a nearby high school is a slap in the face for a season of hard work. Every other wrestler that i've talked with were just as surprised and disappointed as i was. I believe that every effort needs to be done to try to set the State tournament at a bigger and better location for it is after all, THE Kansas 6A State Tournament!

I think everyone should bombard rbowden@kshsaa.org with their opinion on this decision.

I'm not sure that I can take credit for this, but I will anyway... The site for the 2008 6A State tournament has not officially been decided! KSHSAA is still searching for a venue. Let's keep the show of support coming in to get us the right place for State!

I can understand not wanting to have state at a high school...but making it to state is still making it to state. You will be a state champion or state placer regardless of where it is. Its not where you wrestle its who and how. Do you want to wrestle the best kids in the state or dont you? Do you want to give a 100 percent in the match or dont you? In conclusion it doesn't really matter where you wrestle so long as you do
