I know Jared Cortez of CO (now moved to OH), won it in 10under two years ago. I don't know of any 8U.

Check the birthdates. It becomes harder because you will be the youngest in one and the oldest in the other. Mason may be in the 10U for the American Crown Award.

Beeson, thanks I didn't even look at the birthdays. Do you know if Mason can still come back to wrestle state in Kansas even though we live down here?

SECTION I: BY-LAWS
SECTION III: TOURNAMENT OPERATIONS
PART B – QUALIFYING FOLKSTYLE TOURNAMENTS

1. Qualifying tournaments are tournaments that are used to qualify or are in a series of tournaments that could advance a wrestler to the State level of competition, including the state tournament itself. Qualifying tournaments are subject to all sanctioned tournament rules in the preceding Part A, except where those rules have been modified or expanded under this Part B.

2. For the purpose of eligibility of entering a Sub-District or District tournament, a competitive member must be a resident of Kansas and/or be enrolled in a Kansas educational school system. Special cases to this rule are subject to notification and permission from the Executive Council. The State Tournament Director will be notified of any person permitted to wrestle under this provision.

Thanks, but what are the special cases that this would pertain to?

The special purposes has traditionally been interpreted as the sentence in red.

If you are not a resident or attending a Kansas school, your request is likely to be turned down.

Thanks for clearing that up Randy, not trying to break any rules, wanna keep the integrity of the sport. I was asking because my son asked me if he could come back to defend his state title.I'm not trying to be mean , but there isn't any competition down here and people don't take it seriously. At times Mason has had to wrestle 15lbs above his weight to get competition.
