Can anyone tell me who the top 3 contenders for the upcoming season in 8u for these weight classes would be 43,46, and 49, or random names of who to watch for.

Michael Spangler from Boo's won 8&Under at 40 as a 6 yr old last year. He won Tulsa Ntls too. He will definitely be in the mix, but I'm not sure where his weight will be.

I agree on all those wrestlers, they all are really good. Some others to look at are Ottawa's Jared Parenti, Olathe's Jace Kolzer, Emporia's Daniel Herra, Ottawa's Koby Money, Baldwins Levi Green is a definite threat, Parson's Holden Butler, another definite is Tyler Kester from Pittsburg, Bryson Schroder from Hays, Zach Porter from Columbus. These kids are all definite threats in tournaments for upcoming season in 8u 43-49.

I would bet Parenti, Green, Butler, Schroeder, and Porter will all be at 52-58.

I will bet not all of the names will be able to wrestle 8 & Under. They are getting older!
In it to win it.

Brycen Schroeder from Haysville wil be in 6u until th end of the year then we are going to see where he is on his weight. Easton will also be around 52 or 55 next year as well so I am going to try a separate them when Brycen moves to 8u at the end of the year

I'm pretty sure most of these kids are still 8u this season coming up. Alot is still 6u. I can't think of any of them being 10u this season at all.

Just weighed Jake, 50lbs even.
All of the wrestlers mentioned so far will be 8U.

Mason is weighing 45, and we have decided we will be back so our kids will have some competition this up coming season. We will wrestle him up at 49-55 and he still has 1 year left at 8u , for the season coming up. Mason, Jaymez and Brittany is looking forward to this year and have been practicing as well as tourney's in Florida all summer.

Tate Steele will be right in there with all those kids unless he grew a bunch. Some of these young kids mentioned have been wrestling alot. It will be interesting with this freshman class moving into 8u. Parenti, Spangler, Duncan, Deshazer, Wenzel, Beeson, Spangler and all the rest. Can not wait till we get started.

Has Kansas ever considered having a top 10 in each weight division according to the wrestlers stats, who they have wrestled for the season through out Kansas? An example is... 1 Boo Dryden : 2 Tanner Hitchcock 3 Jake Beeson 4 Mason Turner 5 Tate Steele 6 Jared Parenti 7 Levi Green 8 Kesean Deshazer 9 Michael Spangler 10 Tanner Duncan Like I said this is only an example these kids are not even the same weight.Say all these kids are wrestling in a combined weight of 46-52 for the season. How it would work is who u wrestled at which ever tourney they wrestled by score or pin fall to keep your position in the top 10. For instance Boo wrestles Mason and Mason loses 5-4, thats 3 points for Boo for a points win, but if he would have pinned him it would have been 5 points. Beeson wrestles someone not on the top 10,but is competitive and Beeson wins he gets 2 points, but if the other kid won then he would get 3 points because he had won against a top 10. According to overall points every week that top 10 can change. But at the time of Subs,District, and State top 10 doesn't apply, that format stays the same. Not to offend anyone or wrestling community, like I said before it is only an example and I thought it would be interesting to see a top 10 implemented.

Oklahoma has a system like this, and they dont just take kids from oklahoma. Jake won two tourneys down there and ended up like 5th or 6th. You can find it on the oklahoma kids wrestling site under series points.

Only problem is...only certain tourneys count as series tournaments. A wrestler ends up having to go where the series is to be in contention for the championship. Money comes into play instead of who is the best. Personally I like it how we have it now. If you want more you can chase the American Crown Award or the Trinity Award.

And it puts emphasis on one tournament over another. Who determines which tournament is deserving of point recognition? It would possibly put some clubs out of the tournament business all together. Besides, we already have something better than a top 10! It's called a top 4 and we have it every year in March.

I like how it is also, like I had said before I was just curious to see if anyone else had that same thought. Honestly it doesn't matter if points are involved at all, if there is a mat Mason will wrestle. As far as the American and Trinity we will be right there in the thick of things all season long.

What are some names to watch for in the 8Under 67-80 range??? I know that Kasdon Arehart from Derby will be in the mix. He was the 6Under Champ at 73 lbs last year and was 32-3 on the year. He plays on our baseball team and is a great athlete.
Any names to throw around between 67-80????
