Of some local interest, Cody Pack, was the runner-up in the 98-pound division. Cody is the son of Terry Pack, a former coach of Neosho County Community College. The Panthers were National Champs during his tenure!

Furches is competing for 5th place! Nathan hit a sweet duck under for two and closed out the period with a lift with exposure. In the second, Furches used a drag for one and scored another single before the minute whistle sounded. Nathan was in the advantage and lifted his opponent for 3. Nate was ahead 5-0. From bottom Nathans defense was solid. The action went out-of-bounds and back on their feet, Furches quickly closed out the match with another takedown.

Nathan Furches is a Team Kansas, All-American!!

Tyler Caldwell lost the first period and needed to make some adjustments. He did as he gained the fall in the second!

Tyler Caldwell is an All-American from Kansas!

It was a long wait ... and Atticus made quick work of it. About 30 seconds in to the bout he threw a head-and-arm and 15 seconds later earned the fall!

Atticus Disney is your 7th place finisher in a very tough heavy weight division. Disney is your All-American!

Man - being at home sucks. Atticus threw a headlock? Are you kidding me? Tell us more about Fortune and Dubois. I think that was Tyrell's first loss in 3 years.

The Fortune v. Dubois was an instant classic! I'm sure I won't be able to recreate it all because someone else was wrestling at the same time!

But Dubois, I think, lifted Fortune and bombed him! I think he got a 5 as an offer but settled for three and I think had a 2! Fortune then gutted Dubois a couple of times. The score was 5-4.

In the next period, these freaks of nature put on quite a show. As I recall, Dubois won the flip and again lifted and tossed Fortune. Dubois was looking for the appreciation hoping he would get 5 but got 3 instead (this was all during live action) in the meantime, Fortune grabs Dubois and tosses him on his head!! The score is tied 3-3 as Dubois goes down for the last 30 seconds. No more score ... Dubois goes nuts ... does a back flip ... does my double peck flex ... and struts for a bit!!!

It was fun to watch ... sorry ... wish you were here, Love, Randy

Atticus said Dubois started lifting this year and has really taken off. Said he wants to play football somewhere and if not go to Northern Michigan to USOEC.

Barry,

The headlock stunned us all. I'm not sure where Atticus picked it up, but it seemed to work well for him. Who knows ... he might even find an opportunity to use it again at some point in the future!

It's too bad you weren't able to make it up here. This year's heavyweight bracket was unbelievable. You would have really enjoyed watching the action.
