I like to keep track of the high school wrestlers who also play football. Let me know who plays a skill position so I can watch for them in the box score. Here are some of the ones I know:

1. Steve Andrus - Manhattan (heard a rumour he may carry the ball once in a while)
3. Romero - Hutch (should see his name a lot this year)
4. Colt Rogers - Smith Center (Look for a break out year)
5. Gage Deere - Washburn Rural - Blocking Fullback last year.

I know there are a lot of other kids playing but I am mainly interested in who will be running, throwing or catching so I can follow their stats.

Why no interest in the players who make it possible for those players to run, throw and catch?

Its not that I am not interested. But when I look at the box scores it won't show the number of good blocks or tackles. It only shows passes, rushing, and catches. That is why I only asked about those positions. I wanted to find out whose name to look for in the Saturday papers.

Gage has moved back to the obscure world and life of a lineman (guard and nose tackle). He is looking forward to perfecting a greco reverse lift tackle of Big Steve (manhattan), Kolmer (emporia) and possibly Atticus?,,,

Well if he lifts Atticus it will be holding not a tackle b/c I don't think Atticus will ever carry the ball.

If a team can afford to have Atticus carry the rock, then I'd hate to see the 5-6 on the line to be able to have him run in the backfield. Course, Atticus has good feet - maybe TE?

I hope Atticus and ALL the other lineman out there have a great season and open holes for their Backs and plug the holes they're supposed to (reffering to D-Line).

At least, the ex-lineman is holding out hope for your name(s) to appear in print

At Olathe North you have Jake Catloth-QB and
Lucas Vincent-Defensive End (may see his name for sacks?) and Defensive Tackle

Hiawatha Ryan Carlson was a state placer last year and he is running out of the full back, spot where Adam Olson set a school record last year. Yes Hiawatha did not win a game last year but Hiawatha should win there share this year. When you have to play teams like Sabetha, Holton and Clay Center its tought to win.

Grandad,

Well, I know it's not the coach. I heard you have one heck of a coach up there ;-)

I'm sure Atticus's old teammate, Jayden Bird will get his name in the paper for Andover Central.

Now I am embarrassed. I left Jayden off my original list. If you haven't had a chance to watch him play you really should. He delivers a hit even when he is carrying the ball. One of my favorite players.

Mark Kolmer should have a great year at RB for Emporia. Isn't David Blazevic competing for QB at Olathe North?

SM East's HWT, Anthony Garrett should have a big year on the OL. He is 6'5 285 and is looking like he's in great shape for a big kid.

Doesn't my boy Duane Zlatnik from Rossville play fullback or tailback?
