Atticus Disney has verbally committed to wrestle for Coach J. Robinson and the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Atticus' family has moved to Topeka where he will wrestle his senior year at Washburn Rural Shawnee Heights High School before heading to Minnesota.

This is a really big deal. I am very excited for Atticus. I don't think that he will be the only D1 recruit out of this state, but I think he has led the way. Congratulations Atticus.

No, this was a symptom of my ongoing mad cow disease. Atticus will be wrestling his senior high school season for Chad Parks at Shawnee Heights. Sorry about the error.
Since my error has deflected some of the focus away from the main news, I would like to add my congratulations to Atticus on his verbal commitment to Minnesota. I've known Atticus and his family for several years and am confident that Atticus will do his home state proud as he continues his wrestling career.

Atticus, major congratulations to you!!! You are a very hard worker and will make a fine addition to the Minnesota Wrestling team. You are also very humble in all that you have accomplished. I'm sure your grades were a nice feature when Minnesota was considering you. I'm very proud to see the path that you are taking. I look forward to Mr. Disney getting a few tickets set aside for some Kansas people that have watched you mature along the way.
