Classifications are now posted!

Hutch is 5A again. Leavenworth stayed 6A by 33 students. Looks like 6A State will be held at Wichita State University.

Here is the link:

Chief, don't fire your source yet; perhaps they were referring to changes in football classifications. There are several changes for the '09 & '10 seasons; two in 5A, 3 in 6A, 8 in 4A, 10 in 3A, 4 in 2-1A, and 30 in the two 8 man divisions.

the changes in the 11 man divisions are as follows:

Blue Valley West & Stilwell-Blue Valley move from 5A to 6A

Hutchinson & Emporia go from 6A to 5A

SM-Bishop Meige goes from 5A to 4A

Pittsburg goes from 4A to 5A

Belle Plain, Cherokee, Council Grove, Douglass, Goodland, Marysville and Russell move from 4A to 3A

Anthony-Harper, Cheney, Fredonia, Hesston, Neodesha, Rock Creek move from 3A to 4A.

Belleville, Herington, Ness City-Dighton from 2-1A to 3A

Arma, Oberlin, Sacred Heart, Sterling from 3A to 2-1A

3A in football (grades 9-11) but remain 4A (grades 10-12) in all other sports this year. Apparently they have a smaller freshman class.
