WHEN: Saturday, October 20th, 2007; 9:30am-11:30am…Room opens at 8:45am to check in.

Where: NCCC WRESTLING ROOM on the Chanute Campus

WHO BENEFITS: By attending this low cost camp, not only does your wrestler gain valuble knowledge of the sport, but in turn you help the NCCC wrestling program raise funds to help defray the costs associated with having a college wrestling program such as scholarships, travel, and tournament entry fees.

Cost: $15 per wrestler (max capacity of 55)

Who CAN ATTEND?: All ages through Senior in High School, regardless of club affiliations, school associations, gender, and so forth are welcomed and encouraged to attend. This camp is for anyone and everyone with the only restriction being that you must be a Senior in high school or younger!



JODY MARPLE as a head coach:

Head wrestling coach at Oklahoma 5a powerhouse Midwest City High School 2006-present.

Led the Bomber Wrestling team to a 2007 traditional state championship this past year with an impressive 8 wrestlers finishing in the top 4 at the State Championship to include 3 individual champs!

In his 2 years at the helm of the MW City program Coach Marple has also led his team to the 2006 Dual State Title in Oklahoma and was awarded the 2006 5a State Coach of the Year in his rookie campaign.

In his two years at Midwest City, Coach Marple has coached 4 state champions and 1 All-American.

JODY MARPLE as an athlete:

State champ in Oklahoma at Altus High

3 time NCAA DII Midwest Regional Champion.

National DII Runner up in 1998. 3rd Place finish in 2000 to finish as a two time NCAA DII All American.

One of Marple’s most impressive accomplishments is that he ranks 7th all time on UCO’s career win list with 126 wins (the 6 ahead of him combined for 13 individual National championships and an additional 5 runner up finishes!)


Floyd Lorne’s bio: 2-time state champ in Oklahoma as well as a 3 year member of the University of Oklahoma Sooners wrestling team prior to transferring his senior year to Central Oklahoma where he qualified for the NCAA DII Tournament at 149lbs. Coach Lorne also happens to be a former Cadet Freestyle National Champion and is the brother of former NCAA DII Champion Edwin Lorne.
