Really he had 3 1/2 hours left to make weight.
A cheeseburger sounded better than running the last pound off.
It really worked out for the best.
He and another senior ended up in the finals and a couple of stud under class-men ended up in the 135 lbs final.
I think one of them was an 8th grader.
There were I think one 7th grader and 2 8th graders place.
The one in the 135 lbs finals wow what talent.
Some of the matches are on flowrestling.
If you have some time watch a few of them from the super 32.
One Match that was pretty wild was the 1-0 145# match between Peppleman and Jamison these were quality kids the scoring is what was just as interesting as the match. These ref are some of the best out there and after watching this match a couple of times I realize why I don't ref. This match would be a good match for education of young parents who have not been around wrestling very much. As far as the D-1 coaches Bring them hard and fast before we fade away. In the last 12 years this trip was probably the best overall tournament we have ever had. Even though Aldon didn't get that belt we came away knowing he accomplished a great deal and when we walked off the mat he knew he competed well and represented Kansas in a positive way.
