I think the classic will be about the 8th of March. Because I know that High School state is the 28th of February through the 1st of March, and the classic is usually the weekend right after that. I'm not 100% sure on that, but that's my guess.

I doubt that the facility will change - unfortunately the Classic is probably the most competitive tournament in the state of Kansas.

I always hope for nice weather so at least we can get outside between matches but last year with temperatures below freezing - longest wrestling day of my life!

What was up with last years Witchita Classic? We drove like 6 hours to get there from St. Francis in a suberban load, and me being a first time competitor in the tournament, was very anxious after seeing the registration sheet about "No round robins" and "no more than 50 men in a bracket" or whatever, we thought we were sure to get some great matches..But we got their and wrestled, and it just seemed like a waste of money and time, no offence, I am sure it is better on other years when the weather is better..but we spent a lot of time in the car, and I wrestled 2 matches, one being an exhibition, and one in the championship, and one the thing without wrestling 2 full periods on the day..sorry about the complaint, but what's up?
