Congratulations to all who placed, you all did a fine job! Scott needs to work on control and stay focused - It's not too COOL the way Scott shoved Noblet after they went out of bounds during their match in the semi-finals. But other than that, Scott wrestled well.

Very intense aggressive match. A lot at stake and neither boy wanted to loose. I was more dismayed the coaches let the boys crash into the boards, didn't want to see either boy injured. The ref gave me a pretty confused look when I was asking for a stalling call when what I really wanted was the ref to talk to the boys and tell them to keep it on the MAT. Curious who that ref was though, thought he did a fine job, very alert, and diligent with his concentration on the mat, very consistent. Congrats to all the boys in 12 & under 84, tough weight class. As said before 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 5th out of district one is a pretty good showing of talent, heart and dedication. Dan Noblet

Oh yeah, they are - Noblet, Mercer, and Scott are from District 1 South. Buhler is from District 1 North. All District 1. Dreiling is District 2, isn't he?

District I also has a couple of kids that could have placed at state if they were from a different district-i.e. Meinert, Tanenbaum,Quisenberry...
