Mark, I agree that the use of the computer programs has been delayed far too long and it is the future, but there is much about this trackwrestling that never passed the smell test with me.
We were told that one of the reasons we didn't use the older existing programs was the inability to open the program once the tournament had been seeded. Now we find out that trackwrestling has the same problem and may in fact be one in the same as the older programs in use by the high schools.
We then forced the program on the qualifiers without properly working out the kinks at a state tournament first.
I disagree with you about scratches not being a problem at qualifiers. Most years in the 16U class they can be plentiful.
I agree with Mr. Beeson, it matters little to the clubs and parents if the problems are hardware, software or operator generated.
