Two words that cut to the heart of every Kansas wrestling fan! It is 2008 and our Junior Dual team is starting to resemble our dream team of 2005!
Who can forget our 4th place National finish and the victory over Pennsylvania's best (Without a HWT!):
Hase Goodwin Altman Bahe Elliott Deshazer Baldridge Adcock Cornejo Grater Erisman Taplin Kearn Cisper Marrs
If we can get our best to commit again to wrestle for the pride of Kansas, it's going to be another historic season!
Allow me to take a peek at a possible roster:
98 - Ornellas 105 - Vesta 112 - Furches/Callahan 119 - Slyter 125 - McCormick 130 - Tanenbaum/Noblet 135 - Napier/Means 140 - Isenberg 145 - Caldwell 152 - Detmer/Fisher 160 - Brown/Thoman 171 - Koehn/Elliott 189 - Cotton 215 - Bach/Caylor 285 - Disney
That's a team that could make a run! Can't wait till the end of June!

Almost everyone on there has AA status!!! It should be a great year! Having Furches back would be a big plus.
What about last years cadet double champ at 215lbs.? He could surely hold his on on the junior level!

Might be a stupid question, but what is the age cut offs for Juniors (how young can you be)? The reason I ask this is that Alan Callahan has beaten Slyter twice this year and has wrestled for the KS duals several times in the past. He might be a good addition to the lineup also.

Alan will be a Junior this year. He was a second year cadet last year. He would be a welcome addition as attrition is a serious problem over 18 grueling matches in both Greco and Freestyle. My guess is that Sharky won't be able to touch 112 this summer, McCormick won't be making 125 either, jmo.

I was reminded that our 2001 Junior team was officially the "Dream Team".
McCormick Bunch Johnston Dyer Devoe Bogart Klein
Who else am I missing? I know that Kansas won the Metro Classic 32-12 and 10 wins to 4 for Missouri.

A Junior is anyone who is in high school or just graduated. A cadet is defined by birth date. So for example: if you just completed the 9th grade and fall within the cadet birth date then you can be both a cadet and a junior. But if you just completed the 8th grade are not a junior.
