Dan, congrats to all of these kids. I know how hard it is and it is something to be proud of. Nathan wrestled up at Reno, loosing 3-1 in the championship match to the 82-pound winner of the All-Star Award. He could have cut 3 pounds to make the 75 pound division but wanted a challenge and did he ever get one. On the year he went 4-2 against the winner and honorable mention wrestler in those two weights and divisions, but lost a couple that he shouldn’t have. A little revenge at Fargo though as he beat Morrison in Freestyle. The decision to wrestle up caused him to loose the award to Jeremy Goree of Oklahoma by 1 point. All of those kids are great kids and have become friends over the years. Unfortunately, I don’t know if this award gets the recognition it deserves but it is among the hardest in wrestling to obtain.

The two from Kansas who also received honorable mention and their weights:

Division 3 110 Pounds - Dalton Beard
Division 5 75 pounds - Nathan Furches

I just fiqured out that I left off another wrestler from this team(world all-star).Chris Reed from TOHK at DIV2 heavyweight.Sorry about that our printer isn't that sharp and this old man is having a hard time reading the results from the copy. That makes 6 young men from Kansas on this team.Way to go TOHK,3 kids on this team from one club.I didn't forget about the honerable mention kids I just can't make out that small print.

Dan something about that old man part must be true, the eyes are going bad. Hopefully the voice is still there though. What would a tournament be without hearing Dan Gentzler yelling in the next room.

Taylor barely made it, double overtime in the quarterfinals, and 6-4 in the semi's. Finals were much easier. Congratulations to all the Kansas wrestlers, it was a good showing.
