I know we are all proud of our clubs. And we are all proud of Kansas Wrestling. I just wanted to tell all the boys of the Baldwin Club how proud I am of them.

To the Baldwin boys: you worked your tails off this season...those practices were very tough...a lot of sweat, a lot of tears...

Your hard work paid off...

The Baldwin Wrestling club has 23 total kids. 18 wrestlers qualified for Districts. 10 wrestlers qualified for States. Of those 10 State qualifiers, 6 wrestlers placed in the top 4. As a team, Baldwin placed 23rd.

That is a remarkable accomplishment and each of you should feel very proud of the effort and sacrifice that you gave to your team for the past several months.

Nothing is worth having that doesn't take work and commitment. Keep working hard and you will continue to get better. That's a promise.

I, too, am impresssed with the Baldwin club. I see great potential in some of the little guys (Shoemaker, Mitchell). As a neighboring club, it is nice to see how strong we are in the Lawrence-Baldwin area. I look forward to seeing some of those boys during freestyle. We hope to work with you guys this summer!

Great job this year your kids and familys are a class act.
