Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Bobby Lashley at JC tourney

This was cool. Apparently he had been invited by his old HS coach (Bobby graduated from JCHS). He was asked to speak prior to the tourney beginning. He was very classy and inspiring in his brief message. He sat a few rows down from me. We visited for a few minutes. He was amazingly nice and friendly to all the well-wishers and autograph-seekers. He did mention to the crowd that he might fight in the UFC. That would be exciting! He stayed the whole tourney and then I was told by one of the parents of a JC wrestler that the whole team was staying at somebody house after the tourney and that Mr. Lashley was going to join them. Classy guy. Thanks for giving back to your community Bobby!

Knowing Bobby in highschool and seeing him wrestle in college when I was at FHSU and he was at Missouri Valley, he is a classy dude. Although I remember him wrestling around 160lbs an being well-defined then, I see him on tv an he looks HUGE!!!!! He always was a gentle giant and has a great personality. I am sure that Coach Laster had some influence on his life, I was blessed to be in his room for one season, I student taught at JCHS, he is a great coach and man himself. I wish I could have been there to see the infamous Mr. Lashley in person, but I am happy to hear he is doing well.
