I believe at 152 Quisenbeery from BW beat Lee from JW earlier in the year at Piper like 7-3 or something, cant recall exact score. Definately some competition in that bracket but Quisenberry deserves to be ranked up there, if not higher than Lee.

Your reason why he shouldnt be ranked is because "he doesnt care about being ranked". That might be the most ridiculous thing i ever heard. who cares what he thinks. It is not up to him alum. Let his record decide his ranking not his attitude. You got to be kidding me. The positives outweigh the negatives when you have a ranked wrestler on your team and as an assistant coach you should know that. When did we start letting all the kids make the decisions.

I think he simply meant it's not hurting his feelings if he isnt ranked. (As opposed to saying that he shouldnt be ranked b/c he doesnt want to be.) I would commend him on his attitude if thats his feelings. Not everyone is losing any sleep over where they are ranked and I beleive that is the point that alum was making.

Honestly, I do not know of one kid who cares about the rankings on the forum, its all about what happens in the next two weeks.

The true rankings will be sometime Saturday Night 2/23/08. Rankings are fun to look at and gives some the motivation to do better to make the rankings. However, at some levels and weights there are kids (Other than maybe #1 or #2) that are so close that #3 through #10 on any given day has a different outcome.

That is a good point. i may have mistook what alum said. It is just that everything i say on this site he disagrees with so we tend to argue. I think the rankings are good for a school like ward that doesnt have the name recognition and program like an Aquinas or something like that. Having wrestlers like him is how programs grow. that is the way i was looking at it. I guess that what i am trying to say the rankings arent a bad thing. they mostly bring a positive light to the wrestler and the school.

P.S. Queen Pin, I believe that kids do care about who they are compared to. Wrestlers are very intense and competitive. I am not saying that they are obsessed about it, but they are interested.

Where is Tyson Schmidtberger from Russell at 112. He is 30-0 I believe and hasn't even had a close match and has not been taken down this year. He deserves to be ranked.

I would agree with you Alex, he should be ranked somewhere between 5 and 8. I beleive Wark of Colby can also be considered over some of those listed. The biggest thing hurting Tyson is Russell's choice of schedule. It would be nice to see them attend some more quality tournaments next year and get guys like Tyson some recognition.
